My favorite Poem of all time! I have to share this with all of my readers! please pass this poem on....

Pretty women wonder where my secret liesI'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's sizeBut when I start to tell them They think I'm telling lies. I say, It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It's the fire in my eyes And the flash of my teeth, The swing of my waist, And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them, They say they still can't see. I say It's in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
Now you understand Just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say, It's in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, The palm of my hand, The need of my care, 'Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of NYC Reality show

Bravo’s Housewives of NYC is a very entertaining reality show. The women on the show are: Alex McCord, Bethenny Frankel, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, LuAnn de Lesseps, and Ramona Singer.

These women are all wealthy. Alex is a mother of two boys and she actually has a job as a graphic designer, her husband is Simon van Kempen. Bethenny is a single health food chef for celebrities. Jill is a spoiled brat that is married to a wealthy man named bobby, and they own Zarin fabrics in the city. Kelly is an ex-model, a single mother of two girls. LuAnn and a countess with two children and she is married to Count de Lesseps. And finally Ramona, she is a daughter, she is very independent and thinks everyone should be. She owns her own business and is wealthy.

Alex and Simon are the weirdo liars in the group. They want so bad to fit in with Manhattan’s Elite. They ever fail to contradict themselves. Bethenny is a lonely chef who wants to find a love match more than just enjoying life. Jill is a brat! She whines in Bobby’s ear all day about wanting new and expensive presents. For example, for her birthday she received a $20,000 handbag and a 100,000 Mercedes Benz. Kelly is the B**** of the group. She’s always starting drama and seems to be a big time liar! She’s actually in recent news for physically abusing an ex-boyfriend! LuAnn is another brat! She constantly talks about being a countess and gets angry when people don’t refer to her as a countess. LuAnn, like Kelly is in recent news also. Her husband cheated on her and left her for a Ethiopian princess. Ramona has great morals and values; however she is a complete weirdo and has an obnoxious behavior.

This is just a simple summary of the characters on this reality show. If you would like a good laugh please tune into The Real Housewives of NYC every Tuesday at 10pm.

End of semester advice

It is the last week of classes and most students are more stress than ever at this point. Students, please remain calm. The best things to do are: organize your final assignments on a calendar, organize and put in order due dates and revisions on final work, and last but not least enjoy your friends before you depart for the summer.

The last week of school should be stress free and enjoyable. This is the start of summer vacation and fun, fun, and more fun. There’s absolutely no need to be depressed or worried. If you are feeling any of these to emotions, then you will need to start a new way of doing things for the next semester. This means that you are disorganized and unprepared for your education. Also remember you’re not alone in this process. There are students around you with just as much work, or probably even more. If you need help, there is the Academic Resource Center (ARC), located on the ground floor of the library. The help they provide is unlimited.

Manhattanville has a beautiful and spacious quad that you can take advantage of at anytime during the nice weather days. I encourage you to use the quad to relax and clear your mind, get some work done, and just enjoy the company of your peers.

Last but the least before you leave for your summer vacation make sure everything for the next semester of school is taken care of. These things include financial aide, student accounts, room and board, and any other expenses or issues that could prevent you from having a good start to a stress free semester.

Life after college: Senior Basketball star Wes Wicks

When was the first time you ever played basketball and how were you introduced to it?

(W) I was 7 or 8 when I started. I started off just watching basketball games on TV. My father and brother played and it inspired me.

Do you plan on playing in any leagues after college, if so which ones or would you prefer to go into your career of choice?

(W) As of right now I have a few opportunities to play in exposure camps to showcase my talents, so I can later play overseas.

It don’t matter what team I play for, I just want to play.
If I don’t play overseas, I will work for my old high school as an assist coach. I haven’t ever thought of just giving up on basketball.

Do you feel it’s difficult for athletes to pursue their majors after college because of the sport they play? If so why?

(W) I wouldn’t say it’s difficult, but as an athlete, you don’t really want to work after college you would rather play the sport that is your passion. Working is like an alternative for not being able or accepted in the professional leagues. I think people only work after college, because either they lose the passion for the sport or the sport loses the passion in them.

Do you think Manhattanville Athletics have prepared for your next step in your career sports career?

(W) Yes, I think it has prepared me both physically and mentally.
